We had a wonderful Christmas. Things are going great. Kendra and Maliyah had a wonderful time opening all of their gifts from Santa. Their favorite thing was to play with the rapping papers, we could of just got that for them. Courtney loved all the Barbie's and the castle, she got a lot, she must of been really good this last year.

Merry Christmas to all!! The girls are doing great. Kendra and Maliyah don't like Santa. We have tried twice, the first time they cried and kicked their legs, the second time Kendra shook her head and was saying "No, No, No". Their health is very good and we are very blessed. Thank you for all the support. We love reading the messages on the guestbook. We know that a lot of you support us and pray for us. Thank you.

Kendra and Maliyah are starting to stand up with some help. It's great to see how much they are growing. Kendra can put more weight on her leg than Maliyah, but Maliyah is coming along.

We have had really good days. Things are going great with the girls. Courtney is dancing at Trolley Square on Saturday. Kendra and Maliyah love their train that we put around the tree, they both say "Hi Santa". They didn't like sitting on his lap, they cried. Courtney did really good and didn't cry when she went to meet Santa.

Courtney, Kendra and Maliyah love to watch football with their Dad. Kendra will point and yell "football". Courtney will cheer "go go BYU" (sorry Ute fans), and Maliyah will just yell. We are just now putting up our Christmas tree, we are a little behind because I was sick for about two weeks. Hope everyone has a good Christmas.

We got Courtney, Kendra and Maliyah bunk beds. Kendra and Maliyah cried a lot when we put them in their new bed. Kendra was screaming and Maliyah was yelling "mamma mamma". Courtney couldn't handle it so she went and slept in her old bed. They finally went to sleep at 10:00, they are so funny. We have a lot of doctors appointments tomorrow, and Courtney is dancing tomorrow at the Festival of Trees. She is a really good dancer. Remember us in your prayers, especially with the upcoming conference with the doctors.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, the food was great. We got the girls pictures done yesterday and will be posting those soon. Kendra can stand up on her little leg. She is really strong. We are still working with Maliyah to make her leg and arms strong, but she is doing great. Their health is very good as long as we keep them away from others. Please remember us in your prayers.

We would like to wish everyone Happy Thanksgiving. Our family is doing well. I have been sick the last couple of days with Strep. Courtney is doing well, still learning a lot from preschool. Kendra and Maliyah are talking so much. They know their names and their sister's name. Kendra is Kiki and Maliyah is Mimi. They are so cute. Kendra is starting to roll over on her sister when she sleeps.

For the last little while the girls have been doing better. Maliyah had a blessing that said, "that she would start gaining weight and eating better," AND IT WORKED WONDERS like I knew it would. She is putting on weights little by little. We also just got back from Las Vegas, it was a lot of fun. Courtney, Kendra and Maliyah all stayed with Grandma Herrin, they had a lot of fun. It was a good break from the kids, but we were ready to come home. We are so glad that we live in Utah. We would like to thank all of you for all of the prayers and also thank Grandma Herrin for taking our children.

The babies were up last night throwing up. They seem to get sick a lot these last couple of months. They started their RSV vaccinations, they will get this shot ever 30 days for the next 9 months, they also cost $1200 dollars a shot. They are starting to talk even more. Kendra is starting to bark like a dog, Maliyah meows like a cat, can you guess there favorite animal??? Maliyah is still having a hard time growing, we think that some how they are feed each other but since they don't share the small intestine the surgeons think that isn't possible, but they can't tell us what the reason is. We have the large care conference in February so we will have more of a plan then. We really need Maliyah to grow so remember her in your prays. Her back is also getting bad, it is curving so that worries me. If it curves too much she will not be able to walk. Also it can make it hard to breath. We have been going to Shriner's Hospital for their orthopedic needs, so I will address that with that team. We were also suppose to meet with Dateline this coming up week, but they cancel which is fine. We just put are house up for sale and we are looking for land in North Salt Lake to build, it will be closer to family and also to the hospital. We have a lot going on. Courtney is doing well, she still is in preschool and LOVES IT!!! She takes dance and she has four performances in December. There is a set of conjoined twins that will be born shortly at the U of U hospital, she lives in Utah. They are conjoined at the heart, so they will not be able to separate them. If they make it pass 48 hours that will be a miracle (but they do happen, look at Kendra and Maliyah, they only have one kidney). Please remember us in your prayers. We love you all.

October 29, 2003

Today is Courtney's birthday and she just turned 4. She had her party on Saturday and had a lot of friends come over and had a lot of fun. The twins are doing good. They had been sick over the past week, but they are doing a lot better. We are trying to get them eating better and find out why Maliyah is so much skinnier than Kendra, while Maliyah seems to eat more. They are amazing us everyday with how smart they are. They just got a Johnny-jump-up and love to bounce around in it, it even puts them to sleep.

October 21, 2003

We just started the web site. The girls are doing well. Tonight we walked in on them sleeping and Kendra had fallen asleep on top of Maliyah. Their health overall is good, they are seeming to be having a lot of bladder infections which they are treating with antibiotics which seem to work for now. They are talking more. Please continue to keep them in your prayers. Herrintwins
